We Merely Live in Our Own Worlds

I don’t care how many likes I get.

What I do care about though is what I do offline.

There’s no issue with social media.

The issue is created when there’s no distinction between online and offline.

Get off your phone. Look up. Let’s really connect. Let’s talk to one another.

Every time I look up, I see heads down, staring at a phone.

As if we are limited by our capacity to venture out into the world to talk to one another.

Hey stranger, tell me that book you’re reading on the bus.

We cover up our normalized behavior of anti socialism by mere small talk; the talk I won’t remember in a day.

Is it I who is shy? Or is it the world that is dry?

Let’s talk about things that matter.

Stimulate my mind and I’ll stimulate yours.

Look up more, I wanna know what’s in your core.
