Nothing Is Inherently, Bad?
Nothing is bad. Everything happens for a reason in life. Life is a lesson, and everyday we are given a lesson. If we are open to being taught, we can take value from what we experience day by day.
If we just accept what is, and see what we can learn from the situations we are given, our lives may enhance. If we keep an open mind, we can get more out of life. The power of the mind is so strong simply if we allow ourselves to activate it.
I am in no way saying we need to avoid sadness, or that situations that are bad, aren’t bad. My point is if we look at these bad experiences and just view them as lessons, we can change our experiences with them substantially. Being able to pull out the good in the midst of the bad is something you have to work on, like a muscle in the brain, just as we exercise, we must exercise the mind.
Yin and Yang is described as being the concept of “dualism”, which means opposite or contrary forces may actually complement one another (Baxter et. al, 2014). This basically means that the “good” and the “bad” experiences in life are really just interconnected experiences that guide us towards living our best lives. These events, especially the bad and stressful events, form us into the people we are meant to be. Personally, looking back at my own life, I am who I am because of the events and times where I couldn’t see the light, or the lesson I could learn from in those particular moments. It’s quite funny how later in life, looking at past events, everything just seems to click and connect. That “aha” moment of understanding why something had to happen.
If you just believe in yourself and persist in whatever you do, just imagine how happy life can truly be. You begin to find the light in your days, and not so much focus on the matters you cannot control or change.
Lately, I have been pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, and letting go of the person I used to be. Just because I may have been a certain way in the past, doesn’t mean that past person has to exist in the present moment. See, this is the magic of activating your mind and seeing the effect your mindset truly has on your life is astounding, to say the least.
